Give Yourself Space and Time

Therapy

Experiences from the past can colour our behaviours and responses in the present, in ways that may no longer be helpful.

Life often invites us to keep going, perform, or cope—without pausing to reflect or understand our roles, patterns, choices.

In therapy, we create a space that’s just for you: confidential, compassionate, and grounded in deep psychological insight.

My Approach

Our sessions are conversational and boundaried. We explore whatever you bring in a collaborative way, and the relationship we build together is central to the work. I will share psychological knowledge where I can, as a resource for you to reflect on for deeper personal insight. I offer a balance of support and challenge — some sessions may feel reflective and quiet, others may invite emotional release or a shift in perspective. However the work unfolds, I will meet you with curiosity, respect, and care.

My psychotherapy training is in Transactional Analysis, which focuses on how early experiences shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others. I also integrate ideas and techniques from other approaches you may have heard of eg. CBT, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. It is well documented that psychological experiences can impact physical health — trauma can express itself through the body, affecting the immune system, mood, and anxiety levels - so together we pay attention to this.

Who I Work With

I work with individuals and couples from all backgrounds, each bringing their own unique challenges and stories. People come to me for support with a wide range of experiences including: emotional wellbeing, life transitions, relationships and identity, healing from the past and health related challenges. I also offer sessions one day a week through Riverside Counselling Service, a community based low cost counselling service.
